Biografia de JARD

Winner of First Place in the Song Festival organized by the Association of Musicians of the Dominican Republic in 1984.

He was a first-place winner at the Viñas del Mar International Festival in Chile in 1986 with the song “Para Quererte”.

He has edited 7 record productions in his country:

“José Antonio Rodríguez” with arrangements by Manuel Tejada, Jochi Sánchez and Juan Luís Guerra (1985).
“Cara o Cruz” with Víctor Víctor with arrangements by Jorge Taveras and Juan Luís Guerra (1986).
“Amor for voice and piano” with production and arrangements by Manuel Tejada (1987).
“Confesiones” with production and arrangements by Jorge Taveras (1988).
“Se vende” produced and orchestrated by Gonzalo Rubalcaba (1991).
“Recuento” with arrangements by Jorge Taveras, Manuel Tejada, Jochi Sánchez, Juan Luís Guerra, Gonzalo Rubalcaba and Peng Bian San (1997).
“Huellas”, produced by Manuel Tejada with Alex Mansilla as guest arranger (2001), with Silvio Rodríguez, Carlos Varela, Maridalia Hernández and Patricia Pereyra as guest vocalists.
“He loves me, he doesn’t love me” in 2010, produced by Guy Frómeta, as guests: Víctor Víctor, Eliazim, Patricia Pereyra, GNomico, Manuel Tejada, Pavel Núñez, Jan Alberto Rodríguez, (Babeto), Lourdes Ramírez (Yuyu), Papolo Sound, among others.
This new album was accompanied by a DVD that includes his presentations from his last season at Casa de Teatro.
“Una Más” in 2016, produced by Miguel Núñez with Pablo Milanés and Carlos Luis as guest artists and recorded with the Cuban Philharmonic Orchestra.

He has shared the stage with artists such as:

For 4 years he produced the “Parque de Luz”, an area that recreated the Christmas tradition of the Dominicans in an open and free space. He also produced the Katarey International Percussion Festival of Santo Domingo for 4 years with the participation of: Antonio Sánchez, Joel Rossenblat, Gonzalo Rubalcaba, Gustavo Meli, Changuito, Manuel Tejada, Luis Enrique, Chichi Peralta, Thomas Lang and many other percussion and drum professionals around the world.

Within his musical genre, he currently produces “Singer-songwriters”, it consists of the presentation in the country of worthy singer-songwriters such as:

Creator of the “Retajila” program to help young singer-songwriters in recording albums and performing in show scenes.
He has been awarded the “National Music Award” three times.

He has hosted and co-produced spaces for television in his country such as:
Night of Parties on Teleantillas with Jean-Louis Jorge.
With Family, on Telecentro with Pedro Núñez del Risco.
On the Edge of Life Together with Miki Bretón and Nuria Piera, on Color Visión.
The Basement with Panamericana.
On the radio, he produced and hosted the successful daily program “Café de Medias”.
In 2022, he launched a seasonal program with 12 episodes titled: “Como un bolero”.

Together with his wife, he instituted the “Nido para Ángeles” Foundation, which treats children with Cerebral Palsy, and he also created the “Retajila” Foundation, which provides economic and logistical support to young artists (singer-songwriters) to help them record and produce their first CD. which serves as the beginning of his artistic career.
This foundation has already produced 15 albums and 1 DVD, for the same number of Dominican artists.
